Men’s Results
We have witnessed an amazing level of riding this week in Tarifa, as the athletes pushed new tricks, innovative moves, and increased the power and execution. The final results for the GWA Wingfoil World Cup Tarifa 2023 are:
1 Chrisopher MacDonald (USA)
2 Bastien Escofet (FRA)
3 Jerome Cloetens (ESP)
“I’m so stoked to win the championship this year,” said Chris MacDonald. “Last year wasn’t the best ending for me, so this year I just put my head down and trained non-stop. I got all of my big tricks on lock this year, and I’m stoked to clinch the title before Brazil.”
Women’s Results
The level of women’s wingfoiling is increasing at an incredible rate, and here in Tarifa the female riders put on an outstanding show for the crowds at Valdevaqueros Beach.
The final results are:
1 Nia Suardiaz (ESP)
2 Orane Ceris (FRA)
3 Mar de Arce (ESP)
“I’m so happy and proud to have one here at my home spot of Tarifa,” said Nia Suardiaz. “It’s really a dream come true. The conditions were gusty and hard, but I landed all of my tricks so I really couldn’t be happier.”
Get ready as we will be back in action very shortly for our final GWA event of the season in Brazil!
