At this event we’ll crown the World Champions in the Surf-Freestyle discipline and we’ll name the Race discipline winners. Happening from the 27th-30th, the Tarifa Wing Pro will be an exciting finale to the 2021 season!
The season is about to kick off in the incredible location of Ponta Preta, Cape Verde. You can expect epic conditions and the top global wingfoil athletes to put on an outstanding show!

📣For 2025, the GWA Wave discipline introduces exciting updates! 📣
This season, competitors are permitted to harness the power of the wing while riding waves and swells, including executing air tricks as an integrated part of the wave ride—provided they land within the same wave.
Powered air tricks will be rigorously judged based on commitment, height, power, and, most importantly, execution in the wave’s critical section. Only highly committed and dynamic maneuvers that seamlessly blend into the wave ride will significantly impact the final score, while lower-intensity tricks will have minimal influence.
Additionally, a 28-rider elimination ladder may be implemented, allowing more talent to enter events in response to consistently high pre-registration numbers in this discipline. Let’s get this season started!
