Men’s Elimination 2

During the men’s elimination finals, the wind was blowing at around 12 knots, providing the perfect conditions for the competitors to showcase their skills. Mathis Ghio, one of the top contenders, took an early lead at the first mark, showing his quick reflexes and agility on the water. However, Bastien Escofet was not far behind, pushing himself to the limit in his pursuit of victory.

As the race progressed, Ghio continued to hold the lead, but Escofet remained in hot pursuit, navigating the challenging course with precision and speed. In the final FreeFly section, Escofet closed the gap between himself and Ghio, putting up an impressive fight. Despite his best efforts, Ghio had his sights set on the finish line and surged ahead, cruising through it in first place. Escofet followed closely behind, securing second place, with Titouan Galea claiming third.

Women’s Eliminations

We unfortunately only managed to complete 2 women’s heats from elimination 4 today, where we saw Paula Novotna and Nia Suardiaz winning their heats. Tomorrow we hope to complete the full women’s elimination to gain yet another full elimination result.

Tomorrow is the final day of competition here in Leucate. The skipper’s meeting has been called for 10.30 am tomorrow morning with a first possible start at 11.30am.
